Etymology:

Holotype: ANU28780A, and B.

Locality: From a road metal quarry where the Newell Highway passes through the Jemalong Range, 32 km southwest of Forbes, grid reference 574-854 Forbes 1:250,000 Sheet, New South Wales State, Australia.

Horizon: Cloghnan Shale, Nangear Subgroup.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Devonian.

Material: Right mandible preserved as specimen and external mould.
