Species: cosgriffi BOLT & CHATTERJEE, 2000
Etymology: In honor of the late John Cosgriff, a lifelong student of Triassic
temnospondyls.
Holotype: TTU P 9168
Locality: Post Quarry, lat 33°31’17”N, long. 101°18’54”W, 14.5 km southeast of Post, R. C. Miller Ranch, Garza County, Texas.
Horizon: Cooper Canyon Member, Dockum Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Early Norian Epoch, Middle Late Triassic Epoch, Late Triassic.
Material: Fragmentary skull and dentary missing the tip.
