Syntype: As per Schoch & Moreno, 2024; Specimens of currently unknonw whereabouts. Former Bischoff collection as mentioned and partialy figured by Meyer (1858: Pls. 27-28).

Locality: Merke's Quarry, at Teichweg near Fuhne Creek, SE of Bernburg, an der Saale, Grundplan, Sachsen-Anhalt State, Germany.

Horizon: Bundsandstein, white to grey sandstone unit below Thüringer Chirotheriensandstein, lower Soliling Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Olenekian, Late Early Triassic Epoch, Early Triassic.
