Etymology: In honor of C. D. Pruitt, a co discoverer of the holotype species.

Holotype: KUVP no. 129734 (= Private collection of Charles Dean Pruitt, CDP, no. 0001)

Locality: Eskridge Locality, Wabaunsee County, Kansas.

Horizon: Speiser Shale, Council Group.

Age: Middle Wolfcampanian, upper Asselian – lower Sakmarian stages, Middle Rotliegendes Epoch, Early Permian.

Material: Skull and lower jaw.
