Etymology: “False Phlegethontia” (Feminineae), reflecting the taxonomic history of the specimen, and its resemblance to Phlegethontia.

Etymology: In honor of the co-discoverers and original describes, the late Mrs. Priscilla Turnbull and her husband, Dr. William Turnbull.

Locality: Slope of a coal mine dump, from near center of SW 1/4, T33N, R9E, Wilmington Township, Will County, Illinois.

Horizon: Lower Carbondale Formation, Frances Creek Shale.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Westphalian D, Lower Upper Silesian Series, Desmoniensean, Myachkovskian Stage, upper Moscovian Epoch, Late Pennsylvanian (Late Carboniferous).

Material: Skull and skeleton in halves of a nodule.
