Etymology: The genus name is a combination of Bentiaba, for th elocality that produced the specimen and to honor of the people of Bentiaba, Angolia, and Greek, sauros, "lizard."

Etymology: I nhonor of Louis L. Jacobs, for his many contributions to African vertebrate paleontology. Hi is teh consumnate ertebrate paleontologist, explorer, ambassador, teacher, mentor, and friend.

MUGAN PA 183D: Most anterior part of the gut-content, and thus the predators (Prognathodon kianda MGUAN PA 183) last meal, including a partial skull, partial mandiles, 4 cervical vertebrae, 2 cervical ribs, 5 trunk vertebrae and 5 caudal vertebrae.]
