Etymology: From Khermeen Tsav Locality name, western Ömnögov (South Gobi), Mongolia and Greek, sauros, "lizard."

Species: kozlowskii SULIMISKI, 1975
Etymology: In honor of my (Sulimiski) teacher, Prof. Roman Kozlowski.

Holotype: ZPAL MgR=III/24

Locality: Hermiin Tsav I (Khermeen Tsav I), western Ömnögov (South Gobi), Mongolia.

Horizon: Barun Goyot Formation, = Red Beds of Khermeen Tsav.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Middle Campanian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Skull with lower jaws.
