Etymology: Greek, khroma, "color" and Greek, genys, "jaw"; indicating the colorful nature of the holotype.

Species: tiliquoides MAKADI & NYDMA, 2014
Etymology: In reference to a similar dentition and possible diet to those of the recent skink Tiliqua; "Tiliqua-like."

Holotype: MTM V2010.129.1

Locality: Iharkut open-pit bauxite mine, Bakony Hills, Western Hungary.

Horizon: Csehbanya Formation.

Biostartigraphy:

Age: Santonian Stage, Lower Senonian Subepoch, Lower Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Partial right mandible preserving dentary and crushed postdentary bones (surangular).
