Etymology: In honor of Prof. Richard Estes from San Diego State University (San Diego).

Holotype: ZPAL MgR-III/6

Locality: Hermiin Tsav I (Khermeen Tsav I), western Ömnögov (South Gobi), Mongolia.

Horizon: Barun Goyot Formation, = Red Beds of Khermeen Tsav.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Middle Campanian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: A complete skull with lower jaws in occlural position, atlas, and axis, distal fragments of humerus, crus and femur.

Referred material:

ZPAL MgR-III/12: Partly damaged skull with fragments of postcranial skeleton of a juvenile.
