Genus: Dryadissector WICK, LEHMAN, & BRINK, 2015
Etymology: The generic epithet refers to the Dryads, or forest nymphs, of Greek mythology in combination with the Latin, disseco, "to dissect"; which alludes to the finely serrated, scapel-like plications exhibited by the dention.

Etymology: In honor of Thomas Shiller, for his many contributions to the authors' paleontological endevors.

Holotype: TMM 45947-313

Locality: Lowerverse site (TMM 45947), approximately 15 km north of Terlingua, private land just west of Big Bend National Park, Brewster County, Texas.

Horizon: Lower Shale Member, Aguja Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lower Campanian Stage, uppermost Senonian subepoch, Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Tooth.
