Etymology: IN reference to the Funiu Mountain, in which the fossil quarry is located.

Species: luanchuanensis XU, WU, LÜ, JIA, ZHANG, PU & ZHANG, 2014
Etymology: In reference to the Luanchuan County from which teh specimen was discovered.

Holotype: HGM 41HIII-114

Locality: Tantou Basin, Luanchuan County, Henan Province, China.

Horizon: Qiupa Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Cretaceous.

Material: An incomplete skull and mandible.
