Etymology: Greek, labros (muscline), "greedy" and Greek, dioktes (muscline), "hunter", meaning “greedy hunter”, in reference to the presumed predatory habit (feeding style) of this helodermatid.

Etymology: In reference to the state of Montana.

Locality: Blackbird Ridge stie, NW ¼, Sec.6, Tp. 7, R20, Golden Valley County, Central Montana.

Horizon: Judith River Formation.

Material: Incomplete left dentary having 5 teeth and species and broken bases of 6 others.
