Genus: Pachygenys KEQIN & ZHENGWU, 1999
Etymology: Greek (femine), pachygs, "thick" and Greek, genys, "jaw", “thick jaw”: referring to the heavily built jaws of this lizard.

Species: thlastesa KEQIN & ZHENGWU, 1999
Etymology: Greek, thlastes, “crusher”: referring to the crushing teeth of the lizard.

Holotype: Institute of Geology, IGV 294

Locality: Doushan Village, approximately 5 km northwest of the city of Laiyang, Shandong Province, China.

Horizon: Doushan Formation, Qingshan Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Barremian Stage, Lower Gallic Subepoch, Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: Incomplete mandible with complete lower dentition.

Paratype: IGV 295: Incomplete right mandible with complete lower dentition.

Species: adachii IKEDA, OTA & SAEGUSA, 2015
Etymology: In honor of Kiyoshi Adachi, who had discovered the microvertebrate fossil site of the lower formation of the Sasayama Group, from which the type speimen of the present speies was collected.

Holotype: MNHAH D1-032063

Locality: Miyada, Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture, 35°05'34"N, 135°10'40"E, Western Honshu island, Japan.

Horizon: Unnamed lower Formation, Sasayama Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Albian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepoch, Late Early Cretaceous, Early Cretaceous.

Material: An incomplete right mandible with 9 tooth positions, including 5 complete and 4 incomplete teeth.
