Etymology: Latin, longus, "long" and Latin, rostrum, "a snout"; longirostrata because of the elongate rostral part of the skull.

Locality: Khulsan, Nemegt Basin, Ömnögov (South Gobi), Mongolia.

Horizon: Barun Goyot Formation.
