Etymology: In honor of the late David C. Stager, vertebrate paleontologist,
New Jersey naturalist, historian, and the geology librarian at Princeton
University’s Guyot Hall.

Locality: Quarry “B”, Quarry “C”, Logjam Quarry, Easter Quarry, at the Ellisdale Site, southwest of Allentown, in Upper Freehold Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey.
