Genus: Ptilotodon NYDAM & CIFELLI, 2002 (b)
Etymology: Greek, ptilotos, "winged" and Greek, odous, "tooth": in referene to wing-like expansions on the crowns of the teeth.

Species: wilsoni NYDAM & CIFELLI, 2002
Etymology: In honor of Jack Wilson, who discovered the dinosaur horizon of the locality from which type specimen was recovered.

Holotype: OMNH 60764

Locality: OMNH locality V706, southwest Akota County, Oklahoma.

Horizon: Antlers Formation, Upper unit.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Cashenranchian age, Lower-Middle Albian Stage, middle Gallic subepoch, lower Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: Broken right dentary with 4 teeth.
