Etymology: In honor of R. Estes, who contribued significantly towards understanding squamate phylogeny and biogeography.

Holotype: GSI type Pal/CHQ-010

Locality: Near the village of Tiki, 23°64.15'N, 81°22'E, South Rewa Gondwana Basin, Shadol District, Madhya Pradesh State, India.

Horizon: Tiki Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Carnian Stage, Early Late Triassic Epoch, Early Late Triassic.

Material: A nearly complete left mandibular ramus.
