Etymology: Yaguara, Departamento del Huila, Colombia, in reference to the type locality, and Greek, sauros, "lizard."

Etymology: In reference to the country of Colombia.

Locality: El Ocal stream in Quebrada El Ocal, 26 km southwest of Neiva, Municipio de Yaguara, Departamento del Huila, Colombia.

Horizon: Villeta Formation, Unit “La Frontera”.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Upper Turonian Stage, Uppermost Gallic Subepoch, Lower Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Nearly complete skull and dentary, atlas, axis, first cervical, 2 dorsal vertebrae and a few ribs.

Locality: From the same stream as the type, El Ocal, but 6 meters higher in the section, Quebrada El Ocal, 26 km southwest of Neiva, Municipio de Yaguara, Departamento del Huila, Colombia.

Horizon: Villeta Formation, Unit “La Frontera”.

Age: Upper Turonian Stage, Uppermost Gallic Subepoch, Lower Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

MP-1: Frontal, angular and fragment of a vertebra.

Etymology: = of the demonym regiomontano, from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon State, nearest city where the fossil was found.

Holotype: CPC 2972

Locality: 2 km northwest of the town of Vallecillo, Municipality of Vallecillo, Nuevo Leon State, Mexico.

Horizon: Upper Member, Agua nueva Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Upper Turonian Stage, Uppermost Gallic Subepoch, Lower Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Skull missing the anterior rostrum and part of the right side.
