Etymology: Malagasy, adala, "crazy," and Latinized form of the Greek, therium, "beast."

Locality: Quarry MAD 99-15, Mahajanga Basin, Mahajana Province, Northwestern Madagascar.

Horizon: Anembalemba Memver, Maevarano Formation.

Age: Maastrichtian Stage, Uppermost Senonian Subepoch, Uppermost Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Nearly complete skull and skeleton.
