Etymology: In honor of Mario Costa Barberena, Brazilian paleontologist of Triassic and Permian Vertebrates.

Etymology:

Holotype: MACN-RN 166

Locality: West slope of Cerro Cuadrado, Arroyo Verde, Rio Negro Province, Patagonia, Argentina.

Horizon: Top of the Cerrito del Mamifero, middle section of the Los Alamitos Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Allenian Tetrapoda Assemblage, Late Campanian-Early Maastrichtian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: A complete crown of a left upper molar.

Hypodigm:

MACN-RN 167: A complete crown of a left upper molar.

MACN-RN 168: A complete crown of an upper right molar.

MACN-RN 169: An almost complete crown of a right upper molar.

MACN-RN 170: 2 right lower molars preserved in a jaw fragment.

Etymology: In reference to the Allen Formation, Rio Negro Province, Patagonia, Argentina, the unit bearing the specimens.

Holotype: MML-Pv 13

Locality: Microvertebrate layer, Cerro Tortuga, Rio Negro Province, Patagonia, Argentina.

Horizon: 38 meters below the top of the Allen Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Maastrichtian Stage, Uppermost Senonian Subepoch, Uppermost Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: A right upper molariform (P2?).
