Genus: Bistius CLEMENS & LILLEGRAVEN, 1986
Etymology: Named after the former Bisti Trading Post, Hunter’s Wash, San Juan County, New Mexico.

Species: bondorum CLEMENS & LILLEGRAVEN, 1986 emend.
Etymology: In honor of Mr. And Mrs. Clayton Bond who, over the years, extended hospitality and help to many field parties form the University of Kansas that camped near the Bisti Trading Post.

Locality: KU locality New Mexico 37, Hunter’s Wash, San Juan County, New Mexico.

Horizon: Uppermost Fruitland Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Kirtlandian age, Upper Campanian Stage, Senonian subepoch, Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: An isolated, right upper molar.
