Genus: Delsatia SIGOGNEAU-RUSSELL & GODEFROIT, 1997
Etymology: Delsatia, a token of gratitude towards Dr. D. Delsate of Belgium, for his long devotion to the search for Triassic mammals, along with Mrs. Wouters and Lepage, and for his generosity of the Museum national d’Histoire naturelle, Paris, as well as to the Institute royal d’Histoire naturelle, Brussels.

Etymology: Greek, pollution, topos, Greek, site: allusion to the unhappy destiny of the Saint-Nicoals-de-Port locality as a site of refuse disposal.

Locality: Quarry of Saint-Nicolas-de-Port, situated on the commune of Rosieres-aux-Salines, Meurthe-et-Moselle Department, France.

Horizon: "Gres infralisiques" Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lower Rhaetian Stage, Uppermost Late Triassic Epoch, Late Triassic.
