Genus: Hatcheritherium CASE, GOIN & WOODBURNE, 2005
Etymology: In honor of John Bell Hatcher who collected the specimens of this taxon, and Greek, therion, "beast."

Species: alpha CASE, GOIN & WOODBURNE, 2005
Etymology: Alpha, in reference to being the first or at the stem of polydolopimorphian clade.

Holotype: YPM 14192

Locality: Quarry 9, Lance Creek, Niobrara County, Wyoming.

Horizon: Lance Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lancian age, upper Maastrichtian Stage, uppermost Senonian subepoch, Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: An isolated right upper molar, probably an RM1.
