Genus: Jugulator CIFELLI & MADSEN, 1998
Etymology: Latin, cutthroat, murderer (Brown, 1954); in allusion to the carnivorous lifestyle suggested by size and tooth morphology, particularly in vicious appearance of the lower incisor.

Species: amplissimus CIFELLI & MADSEN, 1998
Etymology: Latin, largest, in reference to the fact that the species is the largest known member of the Tricondontidae.

Locality: OMNH Locality V695, Emery County, Utah.

Material: Cracked but complete left lower molar.

OMNH 27507: Posterior parts of posterior upper premolars, probably the last in the series, (perhaps P4).

OMNH 27556: Anterior part of right lower molar, perhaps the first in the series, with a and b cusps.
