Etymology:

Holotype: GSI 19634

Locality: 5 km west of Yamanpalli (lat. 19'6"30"', long. 79'51"), Pranhita Godavari valley, Andhra Pradesh State, India.

Horizon: Kota Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Pliensbachian-Toarcian Stage, Upper Lias Epoch, Early Jurassic.

Material: Upper molar.
