Etymology: In honor of Dr. Meemann Chang, who has been persisently conducting
and promoting researches on the Jehol Biota, and Greek, -odon, 'tooth'.
Species: lujiatuensis MENG, HU, WANG & LI, 2005
Etymology: In reference to the locality where the type was found, Lujiatun, Liaoning Province, China.
Holotype: IVPP V 13102
Locality: Lujiatun Village, Beipiao City, Shangyuan, Liaoning Province, China.
Horizon: Lower Yixian Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Upper Hauterivian Stage, Late Neocomian subepoch-Lower Barremian Stage, Early Gallic subepoch, Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.
Material: A left lower mandible with complete dentition.
