Genus: Nesovbaatar KIELAN-JAWOROWSKA & HURUM, 1997
Etymology: Named in honor of the late Dr. Lev A. Nesov, from St. Petersburg University, in recognition of his contribution to the knowledge of the Mesozoic mammals of Asia: Mongolian, bataar, " a hero."

Species: multicostatus KIELAN-JAWOROWSKA & HURUM, 1997
Etymology: Latin, multum, “many”, and Latin, costa, “rib, ridge”: alludes to the relatively many (9) ridges on p4.

Holotype: ZPAL MgM-I/103

Locality: Hermiin Tsav II (Khermeen Tsav II), western Ömnögov (South Gobi), Mongolia.

Horizon: Red beds, equivalent Horizon: Barun Goyot Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Middle –Late Campanian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous..

Material: Right dentary is almost complete with a fragmentary left dentary.
