Etymology: In reference to the village of Paikasigudem, Adilabad District, Andhra Pradesh State, India, where the mammal-bearing section is exposed and Greek, odon, "tooth."

Etymology: In honor of Dr. P. Yadagiri, Senior Geologist of the Geological Survey of India, who has contributed immensely to our knowledge of the Kota vertebrate fauna.

Locality: West of Paikasigudem village and about 9.5 km east of Asifabad railway station, Adilabad District, Andhra Pradesh State, India.

Horizon: Clay units of the Kota Formation.

Age: Late Pliensbachian-Toarcian Stage, Upper Lias Epoch, Early Jurassic.

Material: A right upper molar.
