Etymology: In honour of Professor Jose Luis Sanz, for his work on the Mesozoic vertebrates from Spain.

Holotype: MPZ 95/173

Locality: Poca locality, near Galve, Aliaga Basin, Teruel Province, Iberian Range, Spain.

Horizon: Upper part of the Camarillas Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lower Barremian Stage, Lower Gallic Subepoch, Middle Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.
