Species: shilongi WANG, CLEMENS, HU & LI, 1998
Etymology: Chinese, shi, "stone" and Chinese, long, "dragon": “stone dragon”. The name refers to both the village nearest to the type locality, Shilolngzhai (Shilong Village), and a self-styled sobriquet of Prof Minchen Chow, Shilongzi, “man of fossil vertebrates”.

Holotype: IVPP 7467

Locality: Shaximiao, Sichuan (Szechwan) Province, China.

Horizon: Upper Shaximiao Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Jurassic.

Material: An isolated right upper molar, probably not the most distal.
