Etymology:

Holotype: FMNH (CUP) 1

Locality: Ta Ti, about 4 km northeast of Lufeng, Yunnan Province, China.

Horizon: Lower Lufeng Formation, approximately 30 meters below top of “dull purplish beds” of Bien.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Triassic.

Material: Anterior part of skull and lower jaw.

Referred material:

FMNH (CUP) 3: Posterior portion of left ramus of lower jaw, including two teeth and posterior root of a third.

FMNH (CUP) 4: Part of right dentary, with roots of three molar teeth and unerupted fourth tooth.

FMNH (CUP) 5: Part of brain case and basicranium of young individual, with periotic, alisphenoid, basisphenoid, paritela, and portion of zygomatic arch.

FMNH (CUP) 6: Cranial roof.

FMNH (CUP) 7: Part of right mandibular ramus with alveoli for molar teeth.

FMNH (CUP) 9: Head and part of shaft of humerus.

 


Locality: Hei Koa Peng, Lufeng, Yunnan Province, China.

Horizon: Lower Lufeng Formation, approximately 70 meters lower in the series.

Age: Late Triassic.
