Species: mifunensis SETOGUCHI, TSUBAMOTO, HANAMURA & HACHIYA, 1999
Etymology: In reference to Mifune Town, where the type was found.

Holotype: KUJM 95002

Locality: Lat 32°44'09"N, Long. 130°50'32"E, near the Amagimi Dam, Mifune Town, Kumamoto Prefecture, Kyushu Island, Southwest Japan.

Horizon: Upper part of the "Upper Formation", Mifune Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Cenomanian Stage, Uppermiddle Gallic Subepoch, Lowermost Gulf Epoch, Middle Cretaceous-Early Turonian Stage, Uppermost Gallic Subepoch- Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Left mandibular fragment with molar.
