Genus: Tedoribaatar KUSUHASNI, 2008
Etymology: In reference to the Tedori River, Ishikawa Prefecture, Honshu Island, Japan, which runs through the locaity where the present material was discovered, and Mongolian, baatar, "hero," which is used as a suffix for generic names of many Asian Cretaceous multituberculates.

Species: reini KUSUHASNI, 2008
Etymology: In honor of Dr. Johannes Justus Rein, a German geographer who first collected fossil plants from the Kuwajima Formation (reported by Geyler, 1877).

Holotype: SBEI 1570

Locality: "The Kaseki-Kabe" fossil Bluff, 36°12'N, 136°38'E, Tedori River, Near Hakusan City, Shiramine District, Ishikawa Prefecture, Honshu Island, Japan.

Horizon: Upper part of the Kuwajima Formation, Itoshiro Subgroup, Tetori Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Barremian Stage, Lower Gallic Subepoch, Middle Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous-Aptian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepoch, Upper Early Cretaceous Epoch, Late Early Cretaceous.

Material: Fragment of right lower jaw with p4.
