Genus: Arambourgisuchus JOUVE, IAROCHENE, BOUYA & AMAGHZAZ, 2005
Etymology: A patrnonym erected in honour of Prof. Camille Arambourg who was the first to provide an extensivse study of the fossil fauna from the phosphates of Morocco, and Greek, suchos, "crocodile."

Species: khouribgaensis JOUVE, IAROCHENE, BOUYA & AMAGHZAZ, 2005
Etymology: In reference to Khouriba (place name), Ouled Abdoun Basin, Morocco; referring to the city near the type locality.

Holotype: OCP DEK-GE 300

Locality: The phosphate mine of Sidi Chenane, Ouled Abdoun Basin, Morocco.

Horizon: 'Couche (bed) 2a'.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Thanetian, Upper Paleocene Epoch, Lower Paleogene Period, Lower Tertiary Subera, Cenozoic Era.

Material: A nearly complete crushed skull, lacking the anterior part of the rostrum.
