Etymology:

Holotype: MLP 72-IV-4-2

Locality: Confluence of the Laguna and Casa Grande Rivers (23' 15"S, 65' 35" W) near Mina Aguilar, Jujuy Province, Argentina.

Horizon: Lumbrera Formation, below Faja Verde Inferior.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lower Eocene Epoch, Middle Paleogene Period, Tertiary Subera, Cenozoic Era.

Material: Snout and posterior part of skull.

Ayllusuchus fernandezi (modified from Gasparini, 1984).
