Genus: Coringasuchus KELLNER, PINHEIRO, AZEVEDO, HENRIQUES, DE CARVALHO & OLIVEIRA, 2009
Etymology: In reference to the site Laje do Coringa, Cajual Island, Maranhao State, Northeast Brazil, where the specimen was found and Greek, souchos, "crocodile."

Species: anisodontis KELLNER, PINHEIRO, AZEVEDO, HENRIQUES, DE CARVALHO & OLIVEIRA, 2009
Etymology: Greek, anisos, "unequal, irregular" and Greek, odontos, "tooth"; in allusion to the odd variation of alveolar morphology that indicates a strongly heterodont dentition.

Holotype: MN 7128-V

Locality: Laje do Coringa, on the most eastern beach of Cajual Island, Maranhao State, Northeast Brazil.

Horizon: Alcantara Formation, Itapecuru Group.

Biostrtigraphy:

Age: Cenomanian Stage, Upper Gallic Subepoch, Lowermost Gulf Epoch, Middle Cretaceous.

Material: Partial right dentary.
