Etymology: Latin, ibericus, refers to the Iberian Peninsula, concerning the provenance of the type specimen.

Holotype: MGUV 3201

Locality: About 2 km south-east of the village of Chera, Valencia Province, Spain.

Horizon: Sierra Perenchiza Formation.
