Genus: Eptalofosuchus MARINHO, MARTINELLI, BASILICI, SOARES, MARCONATO, RIBEIRO & IORI, 2022
Etymology: Greek, epta, "seven" and Greek, lofos, "hills" in allusion to Uberab'as nickname "cidade das sete colinas" ("the city of teh seven hills"), and Greek, souchus, "crocodile."

Etymology: Latin, viridi, "green" in allusion to the typical greenish color of the Uberaba Formation.

Holotype: MCT 1863-R

Locality: Collected in 1966, during the deepening of a water well at a gas station in southern Uberba at the margin of BR-050 highway, Minas Gerias State, Brazil,

Horizon: Uberba Formation, Bauru Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Campanian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Incomplete left dentary, broken anteriorly to the mandibular fenestra, with 10 alveoli including 2 almost complete teeth (3rd and 4th).
