Genus: Kemkemia CAU & MAGANUCO, 2009
Etymology: In reference to the Kem Kem beds of Morocco, where the holotype
specimen was collected.
Species: auditorei CAU & MAGANUCO, 2009
Etymology: In honor of Marco Auditore, for his inexhaustible and enthusiastic
support of vertebrate paleontology.
Holotype: MSNM V6408
Locality: Although GPS data were not recorded, the specimen comes from some kilometers south of Erfound, east of the village of Taouz, and in the direction of the Hamada du Guir, Errachidia Province, Morocco.
Horizon: Kem Kem Beds, "infracenomainen".
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Cenomanian Stage, Upper Gallic Subepoch, Lowermost Gulf Epoch, Middle Cretaceous.
Material: An almost complete distal caudal vertebra.
