Etymology: Latin, amicus, "friend"; honouring the community that has helped
to protect the palaeontological site at Peiropolis, especially the members
of teh Associacao dos Amigos do Sitio Paleontologico de Peiropolis (Association
of the Friends of the Peiropolis Palaeontological Site).
Holotype: DGM 1480-R
Locality: 'Serra do Veadinho', Municipality of Peiropolis, Minas Gerais State, South-eastern Brazil.
Horizon: Marilia Formation, Bauru Group.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Maastrichtian Stage, Uppermost Senonian Subepoch, Uppermost Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.
Material: Incomplete lower jaw.
