Etymology: In referecne to the Santa Lucia Formation, in which the ho otype has been found and Latinized Ancient Greek, soukhos, "Egyptian crocodile god Sobek."

Species: lurusinqa JOUVE, de MUIZON, CESPEDES-PAZ, SOSSA-SORUCO & KNOLL, 2020
Etymology: Quechua, nat'u, "long nose," in reference to the long size of the snout of the species. It is a noun in apposition.

Locality: Blanco Rancho, North of Anzaldo, Esteban Arce Province, Department of Cochabamba, Bolivia.

Horizon: Santa Lucia Formation.

Age: Lower Danian Stage, Paleocene Epoch, Lower Paleogene Period, Tertiary Subera, Cenozoic Era.

Material: Anterior portion of snout and mandible.
