Material: An almost complete skull and part of lower jaw.

Species: nuyivijanan BARRIENTOS-LARA, ALVARADO-ORTEGA & FERNANDEZ, 2018
Etymology: Mixtec, a prehispanic language that is still spoken by the local peopole of Tlaxiaco, nuyivi, "world," and janaan, "ancient," the combination of both the generic name and the specific epithet means 'the damned crocodile of the ancient world.'

Locality: Llano Yosobe, ner Tlaxiaco, Oaxacan State, Mexico.
