Holotype: PIN 4174/1 (incorrecly listed by PIN 4171-1)

Locality: Shar Teeg, Trans-Altai Gobi Aimak, Mongolia.

Horizon: Tormkhon (Ulaan Malgajtsky) Svita.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Tithonian Stage, Lower Malm Epoch, Late Jurassic.

Material: Skull lacking tip of snout, left anterior side and some of the skull, and mid-section of mandible.

Etymology: From Shou, and old name for the Sichuan region of China, and Greek, suchos, 'crocodile'.

Locality: Dashanpu (Dashnapu Dinosaur Quarry), lat. 29°5’N, long. 104°50’E, situated 11 km east of Zigong City, 250 km south of Chengdu, Hechuan County, Sichuan Basin, Sichuan (Szechwan) Province, China.

Horizon: Xaishaximiao (Shaximiao) Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Bathonian-Callovian Stage (DONG & TANG, 1984), Middle-Upper Dogger Epoch, Middle Jurassic.

Material: Nearly complete skull.
