Genus: Tagarosuchus ALIFANOV, EFRIMOV, NOVIKOV & MORALES, 1999
Etymology: The genus name comes from the Scythian-type archeological culture identified in Shestakovo under the name Tagarian, and Greek, suchos, "crocodile."

Etymology: In honor of A. M. Kulemzin.

Holotype: PIN no. 21602

Locality: Sh-3 (Shestakovo 3), approximately 40 km south of Mariinsk City, 55°54’12”N latitude and 87°57’28”E longitude, Chebula District, Kemerovo Province, Western Siberia, Asian Russia.

Horizon: Ilek Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Khukhtekian age, Aptian-Albian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepoch, Upper Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: An incomplete skull.
