Etymology: In reference to Yanji City, where the fossil locality is situated and Greek, suchus, Egyptian crocilde deity Sobek.

Species: longshanensis RUMMY, WU, CLARK, ZHAO, JIN, SHIBATA, JIN & XU, 2022
Etymology: In reference to Longshan Hill, where the specimen was collected.

Holotype: YJDM 00009

Locality: A construction site between Baomei Mountain Villa Park and Longhedong, Yanji City, Jilin Province, China.

Horizon: Lingjing Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Albian Stage, Middle Glalic Subepoch, Late Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous-Cenomanian Stage, Late Gulf Epoch, Middle Cretaceous.

Material: A partial skull lacking most of the skull table, including isolated vertebrae, ribs, left scapula, right coracoid, right radius, left ulnare, right femur, right fibula, metatarsals and some dorsal osteoderms.
