Etymology: Meaning ‘repatriated’, acknowledging that the specimen was repatriated back to China and the IVPP from the Dinosaur Museum, Blanding, Utah, USA.

Holotype: IVPP 12444

Locality: Xiasanjiazi (?), Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province, China.

Horizon: Jiufotang Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Early Cretaceous.

Material: Semi-articulated specimen, part and counterpart, fragmentary skull, and skeleton lacking posterior pelvic, tail and legs with feather impressions.
