Etymology: In honor of Prof. Dr. Meemann Chang, who fostered the collaboration
of scientists form Brazil and China for projects on flying reptiles.
Holotype: IVPP V11981
Locality: Sihetun, Shanguan, Beipiao, Liaoning Province, Northeastern China.
Horizon: Jianshangou Member, Horizon 1, Lower part of the Yixian Formation, Jehol Group.
Biostratigraphy: Psittacosaurus Fauna, Confuciusornis Avifauna.
Age: Valanginian Stage, Upper Neocomian Subepoch, Early Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.
Material: Cranial bones, carpals and scapula-coracoid.
Note: Has soft tissue (hair like structures) around parts of the skull.
