Etymology: Eo-, "early," and -granivora, "seed-eater," in reference to the crop contents preserved in the holotype.
Species: edentulata ZHENG, O’CONNOR, WANG, WANG, & ZHOU, 2020
Etymology: Edentulat means without teeth, referring to the toothless rostrum that characterizes this taxon.
Holotype: STM 35-3
Locality: Dawangzhangzi, Lingyuan, Western Lioning Province, China.
Horizon: Yixian Formation.
