Horizon: Jianshangou Beds, Yixian Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Neocamian Subepoch, Lower Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material:

CAGS-IG-T1: Partially articulated skeleton; Both maxillae, right nasal, right lacrimal, right prefrontal, right jugal, left palatine and vomer and fragmentary right dentary. The skeleton is lacking the cervical verteberae, parts of the dorsal and caudal series, both pectoral and pelvic girdles and the proximal parts of both fore-and hindlimbs.

Note: Has feather impressions.

Note: Fragmentary Confuciusornis skeleton found in the stomach region; furcula, scapula, radius, phalanges, ilium, pubis, ischium, humerus, associated feet, associated pedal phalanges and unguals, articulated tail with filamentous integument, and unidentified ornithischian remains.
