Genus: Centrosaurus LAMBE, 1904
Etymology: Greek, knetron, “spur, sharp point, and Greek, sauros, “lizard”: “spur (crest) lizard”.

Species: cutleri (BROWN, 1917)
Etymology:

Holotype: AMNH 5427

Locality: Dinosaur Provincial Park, Near the mouth of Sand Creek, about 12 miles below Steveville, Dinosaur Provincial Park, Red Deer River, Alberta Province, Canada.

Horizon: Dinosaur Park Formation, upper Judith River Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Judithian age, Middle Campanian Stage, middle Senonian subepoch, upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Posterior part of skeleton.
Note: Skin impressions.
